BodybyJake – Review of the lastest Products from BodybyJake
BodybyJake Tower 200 Review
BodybyJake has created a wonderful equipment called the Tower 200. In my opinion, this is one of the best products by BodybyJake, if not the best one they’ve made so far.
Therefore, what you’re reading now is my uncensored review of what I really thought about bodybyjake’s Tower 200.
Note that this is a review though: Click Here to Visit the Official BodybyJake.com.
But be warned. I’ll be going over both the pros and cons of this equipment, so if that’s something you might not want to hear, then you might as well leave now.
First of all – What exactly is the BodybyJake Tower 200?
The Tower 200 from BodybyJake is a fitness equipment based on workouts that Randy Couture implements in order to stay in shape. It is supposed to give you a wide range of resistance workouts for weight training without the need of a gym or expensive machinery. They even have a slogan of “Gotta Door? You Gotta Gym!”
Who is Randy Couture?
Randy Couture is a 5 time MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) champion and basically makes working out his life. He created this machine for BodybyJake so that users at home can a decent resistance workout without needing all the fancy and expensive equipment. Randy Couture teamed up with Body by Jake and together have created the Tower 200.
What comes in the Box of BodybyJake Tower 200?
Along with setup instructions with pictures, the DVD of installing the equipment made it a breeze. IMPORTANT: You should install the machine on the opposite side of the way the door opens. So if your door opens outwards, install it on the inside. Which makes sense because it’ll ruin your latches if you install it on the same side.
Another thing to point out is you should install this on a STRONG door. If you install it on a weak door, the equipment could ruin it. For a safe bet, your entrance door is probably the strongest in the house, so I would go with that. Besides, that installation should be quite simple if you follow the instructions on the BodybyJake DVD and manual.
The Exercises of the BodybyJake Tower 200
The exercises associated with this machine are plentiful. There are so many that I don’t think I’ve even done all of them.
It offers over 200 workouts! Hence the name Tower 200 from BodybyJake I believe. Along with the various exercises, the actual workouts themselves don’t seem to take up much space. So if you’re working with a small real estate, I wouldn’t worry too much about it.
There’s plenty of resistance with this BodybyJake machine and offers a wide range of motion. I actually believe this equipment to be better than free weights because of the resistance bands and the range of motions allowed.
The best part is the excellent instructional DVD! It simply has one of the best exercise instructions on a resistance machine in my opinion. My favorite workout is probably the 11 minute MMA workout from the BodybyJake DVD. Working out those muscles and feeling a burn in just 11 minutes? Hey, sounds good to me.
BodybyJake vs. Other Machines
One machine that comes to mind when comparing the Tower 200 from BodybyJake is the Weider X-Factor Door gym. This is probably because it’s a similar “Door Gym” that rivals the Tower 200.
I haven’t actually tried the X-Factor (shame on me! And I call myself an exercise equipment maniac!) but I’ve heard it offers less resistance than the BodybyJake Tower 200. It is also confirmed that X-Factor uses the corners of the door, so you basically need to find a door with space around the corners or the door won’t shut! On the other hand, the tower 200 basically fits on any door because it only hangs in the middle of the door.
There are of course other exercise machines that offer resistance training, such as your good old fashioned bench presses and the newer Bowflex machines and it’s variants. But for it’s price (especially the Bowflex! Ouch!) and limited number of workouts, I say the bodybyjake’s door gym is the best bang for the buck.
The Pros and Cons of BodybyJake Tower 200
The Bad Points
So, let me go over some negatives:
- You need to find a strong door to install in. Trust me I’ve tried installing it on my room door for the convenience, but it will mess it up over time, especially if you workout consistently on it.
- If you’re in incredible shape like Randy Couture and are training to become the next championship MMA fighter, then this isn’t for you. I think it will underperform for those who have been working out consistently and are looking for the next level up. However, I think it’s perfect for those starting out, or want to get more serious with their weight training.
- Some people say that the pulleys have broke while in the middle of a workout and I did have to get replacement bands, but that’s only after I used it for several months. This BodybyJake machines still works fine for me today.
The Good Points
- Very versatile and can be installed on any door (any STRONG door) with a lot of resistance and workouts you can do. You can also store it away if you’re having guests over and don’t want to show them your secret weapon to your big muscles.
- Easy to setup if you follow the instructions on the DVD.
- One of the better instructional workout DVDs. The Tower 200 DVD from BodybyJake is very detailed and actually fun to do.
- Cheap! Considering the exercises you can do and compared to the other weight training machines this thing is a bargain!
- Strong resistance and gives you a GOOD workout if you following some of the exercises the machine is designed for.
Last Word on BodybyJake Equipment
So would I recommend this product? Absolutely. It is one thing that I can vouch for that’s part of BodybyJake. Unlike some of their other machines, this one is, in my honest opinion, worth every penny. However, everyone’s experience is different and the choice of purchasing it is totally up to you. I have given you my sincere review and tried to be as unbiased as possible. So there you have it, my BodybyJake Tower 200 review. In fact, it is one of the equipments that I still own and use til this day. Hope you found this BodybyJake review to be useful and wish you the best in your workout endeavor. Body by Jake Ab Circle Pro
Hey! Daniel here,
Ab Circle Pro is probably one of the more popular ones by Body by Jake. Well, I’m not going to review every product by Body by Jake and frankly I haven’t tried all their products, but I want to go over the more popular ones, to give the general audience “what to expect” if and when they purchase an exercise equipment.
Note that this is a Review. Click Here to Visit the Ab Circle Pro Official Website.
I was really excited to purchase the Ab Circle Pro actually. But did the product meet my expectations? It kind of did and kind of didn’t. Like I stated in my previous posts, I usually don’t work out my abs simply because there is no need to with enough cardio. However, I thought that this Body by Jake product would change my mind, and it also looked like a lot of fun in the infomercials as well.
So, here is my uncensored review on the Ab Circle Pro. Be warned, that I am going to cover both the bad and the good points, like I always do in my reviews. And rarely are there any reviews without bad points. So if that’s not something you want to hear, then you might as well leave now.
Review of Body by Jake Ab Circle Pro
Anyways, my first impression of Ab Circle Pro was exactly this: “Will this thing hold me?” At first glance it really did seem weak. However, I read that it can hold up to 275 pounds and I’m a male that weighs 175, so I figured I would be alright.
I started the workout and noticed a few things. The friction of the slider doesn’t always seem consistent and the knee pads seemed kind of weak. The good thing was that I did feel a little burn on my abs and I also felt my arms being worked as well.
But, sometimes product reviews are often too good to be true. And this isn’t one of them. This is a real honest review of this body by jake machine. After a few weeks of use, yup you guess it, started breaking on me. The friction wasn’t as smooth even after I applied WD-40 and it felt really weak. The knee pads weren’t helping either.
I also wasn’t feeling that burn feeling in my abs anymore. I think this could be because of the ‘plateau effect’ or simply because my abs were in pretty good shape and it just wasn’t enough for them.
I honestly think that this machine from Body by Jake would fit best for women who want to tone their abs a little bit and lose some fat around their mid-section. However, if you want hardcore six-pack abs, then the Body by Jake Ab Circle Pro isn’t going to do it for you.
Pros and Cons of Ab Circle Pro from Body by Jake
So let me go over the Bad Points:
- One VERY IMPORTANT thing to look out for. If you’re getting the 30-day trial version for $14.95, you also have to pay $34.50 for shipping! Not only that but if you decide to send it back you’ll have to pay another $34.50! So just a word of caution if you’re willing to try it out. Honestly, I would rather buy it then pay all those fees just to try it out. And if you do get the trial and don’t send it back you’ll get charged 5 payments of $39.95 which (adding the shipping and trial cost) will set you back $249.20! Either buy the product in FULL or don’t buy it at all. The trial just isn’t worth it.
- You’re knees are not going to be comfortable. You can try putting more padding, but I haven’t tried it so that’s up to you if you want to.
- Friction problems. After awhile, the machine starts making some scratching noises from the friction.
- Don’t get much of a workout after awhile. Even with the resistance, it seems to take a LONG time for you to be sweating.
- Maximum weight of 275. I think this is more around the 250 area. So if you’re weight is around there then this machine isn’t for you.
The Good Points:
- It’s fun! It really is pretty fun exercising with this machine. It doesn’t seem like it’s a chore but something that you want to do. One of the more fun exercise equipment from Body by Jake.
- You do get a workout in your upper body as well. Your arms play a big role while exercising with it.
- It doesn’t create back problems, which is really a positive for some people, especially if they don’t want to get on the floor to do ab workouts like sit-ups.
- You can use it in the comfort of your own home. It’s a small bodybyjake equipment and you can pretty much put it anywhere.
Is the Ab Circle Pro from Body by Jake worth it? That answer is completely up to you. I gave you both the pros and cons of the machine so the end answer is if it’s worth it you. I believe it’s a fun way to exercise, especially if you don’t feel like going outside. If you’re looking for a great way to exercise indoors without putting too much effort into it, then Ab Circle Pro from Body by Jake is definitely for you.
BodybyJake Cardio Cruiser
The first product that I want to review from BodybyJake is the Cardio Cruiser. I want to warn you that some of the products are review are not going to be pretty. I’m really just trying to be as honest as I can with you so that you’ll come to a decision with a clear mind before purchasing any products from bodybyjake.
Note: This is a Review. Click Here to Visit the Official Bodybyjake Cardio Cruiser Website.
Okay, so at first glance the Cardio Cruiser from BodybyJake looks really simple, and it is. The basic concept of this machine is to combine about three workouts into one. The three sections that it works out are the upper body, lower body, mid-section and also cardio (it is called cardio cruiser after all). This BodybyJake system is designed to burn fat and tone your body at the same time. It’s kind of like a bodybyjake type of exercise bike mixed with a stair stepper with different levels of resistance.
Speaking of different levels of resistance, this bodybyjake product comes with five different resistance settings that allow you to go from a light workout to a serious toning workout. It actually has an effect on the abs on the highest settings and is gives a slight ab workouts.
The Cardio Cruiser from Body by Jake also has seven different seat positions you can adjust to. It’s typically for all heights, but I think I read somewhere that it only supports up to a weight of 250 pounds, so just a word of caution for those around those weights. You should also check the weight capacity for any other BodybyJake equipment or any other machine, even if it isn’t by bodybyjake.
Because of the different levels of seat positioning, the workout from this bodybyjake machine actually doesn’t really have much stress on the back. Or any stress at all even, if I remember correctly. The exercise does give a slight cardio effect and gets the heart pumping slightly, but not as much I would say as other cardio exercises. If you want more of a comfortable way of working out while watching TV or something then this bodybyjake equipment is for you.
The Pros and Cons of the BodybyJake Cardio Cruiser
The Bad Points:
Now, let me go over some bad points of this bodybyjake equipment:
- Number one flaw that I’ve had with this bodybyjake machine is that is SQUEAKS! I’ve even tried putting WD-40 on it but it only slightly alleviated the noise.
- You really need to be on the this bodybyjake machine for a while for you to break a sweat. But I think this a good way to workout if, say you’re watching TV.
- Honestly, and some of you might be disappointed, it fell apart on me after a few months. I might have gotten a defective one and every other Cardio Cruiser might last for years, but the one I got definitely started to come apart. Just a heads up if you’re thinking about a BodybyJake Cardio Cruiser.
The Good Points of BodybyJake Cardio Cruiser:
- No stress on the back. I think this is what a lot of people look for in a product, especially if you have back problems.
- Really simple to use and adjust. You really don’t need a manual from bodybyjake to use the product.
- An informative BodybyJake DVD. Some workout DVDs that come with products are crap, but this ones okay.
Last Words on Cardio Cruiser by BodybyJake
Well, that’s my brief review on the Cardio Cruiser from bodybyjake.com. If it were me, I wouldn’t get it. But that’s because after all of the products I’ve used, the best equipment for me was no equipment. That’s right. My favorite form of cardio is just straight jogging around the neighborhood without a bodybyjake equipment or any equipment for that matter. It gives me a breath of fresh air and I also feel good after the workout also. But if you like to get a ‘comfortable’ workout while not doing too much work then by all means go for it. I’m just giving you a little insight and a little preview of what to expect. So I hope you enjoyed this review. That’s my review of another BodybyJake product for now.
I wanted to cover ab workouts because that’s what seems to be most people’s concern. More specifically people are usually more interested in losing weight around their belly. I want to start off by saying that you can probably just do situps and crunches without any equipment at all and you will be fine. The secret to those ripped and sexy six pack or slim abs is not ALL about the ab workouts but you should really put emphasize on your cardio.
There are many views and many ways in which you can cut down your mid-section and do ab workouts, but this is what works best for me:
10% Ab workouts
10% Weight Training
This isn’t the ULTIMATE way to get slim or the best way to do ab workouts, but just my opinion on getting those slim abdominals. If you don’t think these are the right ratios, then that’s fine, everyone’s body is different.
Cardio for Ab Workouts
You can see that from the percentages that I put, cardio is of vast importance. I really think that cardio is KEY to shredding off those pounds and losing fat. BUT, you really need to put in work! A simple walk around the neighborhood isn’t going to be an effective ab workouts, and I’m sorry if you have to hear that. I’m just trying to be really honest with you.
What I mean by cardio is actually sweating and breathing hard. Huffing and puffing in today’s words. You need to get your heartbeat up and you need to be feeling a slightly burn. This is the best way to go about cardio. Of course you CAN walk around the neighborhood, but if you do this it’ll only take you 20 times longer to burn off the fat. So if I were you I would just suffer a little bit in return for the time lost. I also believe that cardio is the best form of ab workouts.
The second thing on the list is diet. Yup, you can’t eat steak and fries everyday. But what you can do is eat low calorie foods and you can have plenty of protein such as chicken breasts and turkey.
Ab Products for Ab Workouts
As for ab workouts and ab products, I honestly think that you don’t need any. I’m going to do a review on the BodybyJake Ab Circle Pro in a later post but I really don’t think you need an ab machine for ab workouts. Especially if you’re doing a lot of cardio.
Actually, instead of a machine, if you really want nice abs you can read the best guide on ab workouts here:
It is well worth it. It is probably one of the first guides I purchased and STILL one of the best ones.
Anyways, the last segment of losing weight around the mid-section is weight training. There is a simple principle around weight training: Having more muscle means a faster metabolism. Which means faster fat burning. It’s as simple as that. Well, that’s it for ab workouts for now, see you next time and have a nice day!
BodybyJake Exercise Equipments
Well, I’m not a total BodybyJake fan crazy or anything, but I just want to say that I have tried them ALL! Not everything exactly, but I do mean that I’ve tried A LOT of exercise equipments, exercise programs, workout DVDs, and whatnot and not all of them are from BodybyJake. Actually, MOST of them were not from bodybyjake. In fact, I’ve tried most of the famous and popular ones out there, like the newer Insanity program, P90X, Totalgym Direct, Ab Circle Pro, Cardio Cruiser, and the newest machine from bodybyjake, the Tower 200. There’s a lot more that I’ve tried and they’re not all from bodybyjake, but I don’t want to fill this page with product names because that’s not the point of this blog. I simply want to review just a few BodybyJake exercise equipments.
I’ve created this blog to share my experiences with the different exercise machines that I have tried, specifically the ones from BodybyJake. I guess you can call me an “exercise machine junkie.” It’s just a small hobby of mine to try out the newest and greatest workout equipments, even if it’s not from bodybyjake.
I don’t want to bore you by going over every single product from BodybyJake out there like Ab Scissors, Cardio Cruiser, and Bun and Thigh Rocker, but I want to inform you on the latest products. What I mean by the latest product is the newest ones that bodybyjake has to offer.
BodybyJake Products to Review
I also don’t want to review bodybyjake products that don’t deliver as they would seem like a waste of time. So I’ll just honestly tell you if those certain products didn’t work for me. So throughout this blog, I will probably be going over not more than three exercise equipment from the Body by Jake company.
I would also like to say that the product itself isn’t going to do the work for you. YOU need to put in the effort to exercise. I know most of you are looking for the quickest and easiest way to lose fat, build muscle, or whatever your goal may be, but there simply IS NO SUBSTITUTE FOR HARD WORK! It doesn’t matter if you have the latest and greatest machine from bodybyjake. BodybyJake isn’t going to workout for you!
BodybyJake isn’t everything.
You really have to work at it to get results. Just because it’s made by bodybyjake doesn’t mean it’s going to work without your effort. However, that doesn’t mean you have to run 10 miles a day and train like the Special Forces from the U.S. military, but to AT LEAST put in some effort to exercise and be sweating. Bodybyjake just isn’t going to do this for you!
I had to learn this the hard way. I would be looking for that shortcut to lose fat and gain muscle with as little exercise as possible, but honestly, if I just put in some effort I would have had results A LONG TIME AGO.
The best shortcut is to work at it with consistency. It doesn’t matter if it’s a BodybyJake equipment or not, you just have to simply work at it. That’s just a little advice I can give you. Oh yeah, and you also have to cut down on your diet. I know that you have to eat the things you love to eat, but really try to limit yourself. Try to cut down your calories by half every day and add more protein to your diet instead of carbs, because the body will burn the stored carbs instead of fat if you have too much. I’ll talk more on this in further posts. But that’s it for now! Hope you enjoyed my commentary on Bodybyjake!
